Pharmacy update: we have switched Homecare high cost drug provision from Lloyds  to Sciensus. This will involve a transition period over the next few months where you may still have outstanding deliveries from Lloyds whilst all patients  prescriptions move across. Apologies for any inconvenience during this transition.

If you have not had a delivery from Sciensus yet, you will unfortunately not know which company holds your current prescription. So for the next few months when arranging a delivery we ask that you contact  Lloyds first (Tel 0345 2636 123) followed by  Sciensus if Lloyds unable to help (Tel 0333 103 9499). If you experience any problems  please then contact your clinical team. Once you receive a delivery from Sciensus you will not need to contact Lloyds again.

We have experienced delays due to staffing shortages at both Homecare companies, so please plan your next delivery when you still have  3-4 weeks of medication left to avoid being left short.

Welcome

Welcome to the Royal Devon University Healthcare Cystic Fibrosis team, based in Exeter. Our website aims to provide an introduction to the services we offer here in Exeter and North Devon. We have pulled together some of our local resources as well as linking you to some relevant national sites. Further information is available directly from the team.

The Exeter CF Centre is recognised as one of the UK’s specialist CF Centres. Our service offers an experienced multidisciplinary team who aim to provide comprehensive care, meeting high quality National (NHSE) standards while meeting the individual needs and geography of our patients. We are fortunate to deliver both Paediatric and Adult care within the same hospital, providing continuity into adulthood  and ease of transition between services. CF Annual Registry Data shows that we are consistently one of the top UK centres when assessed by lung function, weight and prevention of pseudomonas colonisation. Team members contribute widely to ongoing CF research and publications, continuing to drive forward CF care nationally and internationally. See here for a sample of recent publications.

As a Centre we have been selected as an accredited Clinical Trials Accelerator Platform (CTAP) Centre by the CF Trust. We offer our patients the opportunity to take part in clinical trials where appropriate to individual needs (please see our Research page for more information on this exciting area). 2019 Registry data shows that we recruited the highest percentage of our adult patients to clinical trials of any UK CTAP centre!.

We welcome your feedback to ensure our website continues to develop to meet your needs. Any photos or art work you feel would brighten the site please share, apologies if any are not used. We want this to be your site and reflect your experience! Any questions please do contact us and we look forward to hearing from you.
